Yoga Nidra is a powerful way to bring change in your life through intention setting. A sankalpa is Sanskrit for is a declaration of intent. We all have something that we would like to eliminate or cultivate in our lives. It is best to prepare your declaration of intent before you practice yoga Nidra and have it ready in your mind. This is your conscious mind directing your unconscious mind. You are guided, at the beginning of the practice to silently say your resolve three times. At the deepest point in the practice when the conscious and unconscious mind are closely connected, you repeat exactly the same resolve again.
